Application optimizing the internship process for Higher Vocational Educations

MERITIOS is an application developed in collaboration with Higher Covational Education actors that is omtimizing the internship process.
Higher Vocational Education (HVE) is steadily growing in Sweden. An important aspect is work-based internships linked to students’ education. On average, over 50% of students get a job where they did their internship; for the really smart HVE schools, this figure is closer to 90%.
Today, the internship process is very time-consuming for many HVE institutions, where most things are handled manually. The Meritios app automates large parts of the process – for teachers, students and internship companies.
This frees up time for teachers to support and coach the students.
The app enables students so see which internships are available for the current internship period. Through the tool, they connect with companies and get their internship confirmed.
The companies themselves get a good overview of when different courses have their internship period, and access to student profiles. This helps them plan their internships and proactively approach students with a profile that matches their activities and needs.
